Friends of Lye Valley have the Bullingdon Community Association Centre booked for the day on the Saturday 19th. They're going to have one session in the morning and one session in the afternoon, each contributing a 'layer' to a big tapestry depicting a cross-section of the Lye Valley. They'll begin each session with a walk through the Lye Valley, and collect some reed to bring back to the community centre, which we'll use in the making of the tapestry! (I'm thinking to come along on the Wednesday prior, and we can leave some piles of reed in easy collection points).

There will be another couple of sessions on other days too. With Helen Edwards, on Sunday morning, making figures out of reed at the Lye Valley (which we'll then add to the tapestry too!) With Wood Farm primary (to be confirmed), using pigments from the Lye Valley to create a 'peat' layer of the tapestry.

Also, there's a session on Saturday 19th. We would love to collect donations for the Friends of the Lye Valley (following Helen's example for her 10km swim!!) .
